Vista West High School received the highest recognition from the California Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) Coalition for their implementation of the core features of PBIS.

State Superintendent of Public Instruction Tony Thurmond announced that Vista West High School was one of 36 schools throughout the state recognized as Model Continuation High Schools (MCHS) for 2022.
